Tested and Failed time to review

Every day we are tested. Everyday we are pushed to are limits by the flesh. Why does this happen? To see if you are ready for the next level. Do not be discouraged! Trust in the Lord even if you fail. You ask why are we tempted? Only to be tested.

God has to see how we are coming along. He just isn't going to trust someone with the keys to his house if they can't be trusted. Would you let someone house sit or borrow your car if you didn't trust them. Think about some of the things that you have done or failed because of temptation. Ask yourself really where did you fail and how can I increase my faith? Be happy when you fail do not be discouraged because now you know how to grow. You know how you need help, and what to pray for from god. Don't just say you need money! Look at why you need money and ask god to help you manage your finances! Miracles and blessings happen! God has his reasons and schedule. Never get discouraged when you fail the test! They are only tests that will make your greater. Thankfully we are blessed to take the test over just be sure to review what you missed.

Worry

I have heard so much about worry lately. Praise God because I need it! I am quite a worry wart. There is no hiding that. Financially I have been attacked by Mr. Devil over and over and really he was starting to get to me. Now I am focusing on just having joy. The Devil is a sneaky one especially when he tricks you into thinking that worry is going to help the problem.

Isnt it amazing that human beings are the only creatures on the face of the earth that worry. No other creature will worry at all. Animals may get sad but they do not worry if they are going to eat. If they feel that food is scarce that go and get more, they don't worry about it.

33 Miles has a song out right now called "Thank You"! I think everyone should wake up in the morning and follow the guidance of that song. I have been practicing when a bill collector calls, I say thank you! One of the first lines in the song states "even before I fill my coffee cup I say thank you" that is the simpilest and strongest statements that I think anyone can make.

So I am just going to praise and say thank you. If you are having financial diffulties just say thank you over and over and praise his holy name.

Ministry is in your future

School is back in session and everyone is dusting off their brains! College towns are busy as usual and businesses are happy. Welcome to the end of August! More teens, and even Adults start questioning what they are doing with their lives right around this time.

You never need to question just try to listen. When in doubt just go with the flow it is really easier that way. If things just seem impossible and your course load seem like an uphill battle just takes things one hour at a time and do not try plan ahead. You never know what is in store tomorrow.

Instead of worrying use your talents that god gave you and that is ministry. If you are outgoing then be outgoing to those around you. Inviting someone to church is ministry, if you don't feel like you are accomplishing anything then just open a bible and read, that is ministry. Try to minister all the time. You know what that means? That means you are using any talents the lord has given you for good. Ministry isn't preaching, ministry is fellowship with your talents to help. The Lord loves to see us use what he as given us as a gift. How wonderful is that?

Now I am not saying to just drop everything and go out amongst the land. If that is your calling then god will let you know. I am saying that when you are feeling down and you are not sure what you are doing then just try to minister. It will make you feel better, open up lines of communication with the Lord and give you a little extra umph! That is what we all need especially for monday morning classes!

Matthew 28:18-20 (New International Version)
18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Amen

How Great

If every morning you wake up and automatically start getting stressed it is time to talk to god.

You should never worry about things of this earth. I know "Easier said then done!" that is true it is easier said then done. I know this from personal living. I currently am in so much financial trouble I don't know if I will have a place to live in two weeks. I am choosing not to worry about it! That is how great are lord is. If I am evicted, I can trust God to supply me with another place to live, or something will come along to help me finacially. If neither happens oh well something will happen something always happens!

Why does any of that matter? I am not saying I don't worry about it! What I am saying is that when I start to worry about it I change my thought pattern and start to pray, but will not let it effect my outpouring of faith and love for God. I know from experience that a year from now I will be laughing and Praising God just like I am now. So why should I worry.

It is time to stand up and Praise Him and don't let the enemy break your faith and hope. Everyday is a new day when you are living for the Lord and you never know what he has in store for you. Stop trying to figure it out. That has always been my fault, and still is! I try to figure out how god is going to help instead of just letting him worry about that. So I always remind myself that it is his job to figure out the How! I am just going to sit back and believe How Great is Are God.

"All things work together for good to them that love God and are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

There is Faith and Then Foolishness

Romans 3:12 "For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone that is among you, not to think of himself more highly then he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one of us a measure of faith"

Paul tells us this in Romans referring to being a body of christ and not being a single person. He also reminds us through this scripture that we each have faith and to use sound judgement not to make haste or silly decisions.

There is a difference between having faith about something and then just being foolish. I know that is a little harsh but sometimes it is true.
Pray for wisdom in every situation. Ask "Lord I am asking you for your guidance because I am just tired of trying to do it on my own" and then just sit in silence. Make sure all distractions, tv, radio, or anything that might interfere with God trying to get through, is turned off. This might not always work but it definitely helps.

I saw a sign on the road today that said "Impassible in High Level Water". I thought about that sign for sometime. If someone sees a lake in front of them do they really need to be told not to try to pass through it? I then realized that I could relate to that sign. There have been moments when the lord told me to stay still don't try to move forward just be patient and wait until the water subsides. Guess what I tried to drive through the lake anyways and found myself stuck, drowning and needing a hand to grab me by the back of the head to pull me out. If anyone finds themselves in a situation that just seems impossible! Listen to god! Read the signs and don't be silly or foolish. God always gives you an alternate route. That is using faith.

Times are a gettin tough

Times are going to get hard in life. When times get tough, the tough get going! Always remember that this world is the Devil's Playground! He has control over just as much as the Lord so always keep your head to the heavens. No matter the struggle (and it can be hard) keep praising God because he is faithful. For it is written "Turn us again, O God of hosts and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved"-Psalms 79:7

"And we shall be saved!" it is written! It is not about an "if" or a "maybe" but "We Will"! We shall all be saved in gods time so remember that! And if that is still not making you smile. Rev. Marty Blackwelder's mother told him once "Baby it doesn't matter how bad it is just remember that they can't eat ya!" I remind my self of that all the time now. No matter how financially bad things are getting, bill collectors are calling, I am behind on rent, through all that, they cant eat me! Amen! I laugh and think I might be broke, but I am alive in the lord! Praise God they can't eat me!
